Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 4, 2026

1. Who we are

This website is operated by MoreThanMe, a student-led initiative from Rishihood University focused on supporting communities across India through volunteering and fundraising. In this policy, "we", "our" and "us" refer to MoreThanMe, and "you" refers to visitors, volunteers and donors who use this website.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us when you visit our website, join our initiatives or make a donation.

2. Information we collect

We only collect information that we genuinely need to operate our initiatives, process donations and stay in touch with you. This may include:

  • Contact details – name, email address and phone number when you fill out forms, join us as a volunteer, or contact our team.
  • Donation details – donation amount, date and time, transaction or UPI reference ID, payment method and limited bank/UPI information shown on your receipt (such as masked account numbers or UPI IDs) when you submit donation details or upload a payment screenshot.
  • Message content – any notes or messages you choose to share in our contact, join or thanks forms.
  • Technical information – basic log data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through our hosting infrastructure for security and reliability.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as passwords, financial credentials or government ID numbers through this website.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and verify donations submitted through our donation form.
  • Maintain internal donation records for transparency and reporting on how funds are used.
  • Communicate with you about your donation, send acknowledgements, and respond to your queries or messages.
  • Coordinate with volunteers and supporters who express interest in joining our initiatives.
  • Improve the reliability and security of our website.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information with any third-party marketing companies.

4. Payment processing and security

Most donations to MoreThanMe are made directly via UPI or bank transfer. When you make a payment, the transaction itself is processed by your bank or UPI app (such as Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM, etc.). We do not collect or store your card numbers, UPI PIN, passwords or other sensitive payment credentials on this website.

When you upload a screenshot or share your transaction details, we only use that information to verify that the donation reached the intended account and to maintain internal donation records.

5. Data storage and protection

We use reputable cloud and email providers to store limited personal and donation information. Access to this data is restricted to core team members who need it for coordination, record-keeping or audit purposes.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure connections, no method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure. You share information with us at your own risk.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our site may use basic cookies or similar technologies to keep the website running reliably (for example, remembering form state or protecting against abuse). We currently do not use aggressive tracking, advertising pixels or behavioural profiling.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep donation and contact records for as long as they are reasonably required for transparency, internal reporting and compliance with applicable laws. When information is no longer needed, we aim to delete or anonymise it within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Your rights

You can contact us if you would like to request access to, update or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records (for example, basic donation information for audit purposes).

9. Children's information

Our website is primarily intended for adults and older students who wish to volunteer or support our work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the age permitted by local law without appropriate consent.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our activities or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11. Contact us

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please reach out to us through the contact details provided on our Contact page. We will do our best to respond within a reasonable time.
